W wyniku badań przeprowadzonych przez Państwową Inspekcję Sanitarną stwierdzono wyższy niż dopuszczalny poziom ochratoksyny A w partii mąki żytniej razowej typ 2000. Ochratoksyna A jest toksyną wytwarzaną przez grzyby rodzaju Aspergillus i Penicillium, która ma szkodliwe działanie na zdrowie człowieka. Na prośbę GIS została przygotowana ocena ryzyka przez ekspertów z Narodowego Instytutu Zdrowia Publicznego PZH – Państwowego Instytutu Badawczego, zgodnie z którą spożycie produktu o podanym numerze partii może stwarzać ryzyko dla zdrowia konsumentów.
