W wyniku działań urzędowych Państwowej Inspekcji Sanitarnej wykryto Salmonella spp. w 1 z 5 próbek wskazanego poniżej produktu. Spożycie produktu zanieczyszczonego pałeczkami Salmonella wiąże się z ryzykiem zatrucia pokarmowego. W opinii Narodowego Instytutu Zdrowia Publicznego PZH – Państwowego Instytutu Badawczego obecność bakterii Salmonella w produkcie stanowi realne zagrożenie dla zdrowia konsumentów w przypadku spożycia produktu bez obróbki cieplnej, np. jako bezpośredni dodatek do ciast, deserów, koktajli, owsianek. Obecność Salmonella spp. w produktach spożywczych może ponadto prowadzić do krzyżowego zanieczyszczenia środowiska przygotowywania żywności.
