What the authority reported
Issue: On a small number of RV trailers, the interior step tread may not have been attached correctly. As a result, the step tread could move or detach and cause a person to fall. Safety risk: A step tread that moves could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Grand Design will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your trailer to a dealership to replace the interior steps.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
