What the authority reported

The recalled product does not meet the labelling requirements of the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001, under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act . This product poses an aspiration hazard if inhaled or ingested. The lack of appropriate labelling information could result in unintentional exposure to the product and lead to serious illness or injury, including death. Aspiration into the lungs can occur when the product enters the lungs directly or is coughed up or vomited after being ingested. This coughing/vomiting could cause small particles of the product to travel into the lungs, or the product may be inhaled directly in the form of a fine mist. This may result in serious health effects. As of February 14, 2025, the company has become aware of one reported incident of a child accidentally ingesting the oil.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
