What the authority reported
On certain vehicles, the connection securing the cable from the 48 V battery to the starter-generator may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the connection could loosen and cause a short circuit and/or a loss of power to the wheels. Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with a 2.0L engine.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
