What the authority reported
On certain vehicles, the rear brake hoses may may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the brake hoses could fail and create a brake fluid leak. If this happens, there could be reduced braking. This could also cause the antilock brake system (ABS) and dynamic stability control (DSC) system not to work. Note: This problem would cause a warning symbol and messages to display on the instrument panel.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
