What the authority reported
Under certain conditions, a software problem could cause the rearview camera not to work when the transmission is shifted into the reverse gear. Additionally, on certain vehicles, water could leak into the rearview camera. As a result, these issues could cause the rearview camera image not to display correctly or at all. Note: This recall only affects certain electric models.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
