What the authority reported

The C92 capacitor of HT70 ventilators may fail, disabling the output of the power management chip causing the ventilator to cease operation and stop ventilation. An audible alarm will be initiated, and the safety valve will open. In addition to the C92 issue, HT70 ventilators containing C159 capacitors reported failures of the shutdown buzzer alarm test, and as a result, the alarm "hardly sounded" or was of insufficient volume or duration per specification, placing a patient at risk of respiratory failure due to unexpected loss of ventilation. Recall start date: May 21, 2025

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
