What the authority reported
On certain vehicles, the paint on the front axle shafts could become damaged. As a result, the axle shaft(s) could corrode. If this happens, the axle shaft(s) could break and cause a loss of power to the wheels. Additionally, if the vehicle is parked and the parking brake isn't applied, the vehicle could roll away. Note: This recall is an expansion of recall HO54 (Transport Canada recall no. 2020-609).
