What the authority reported
Issue: On certain buses, the fasteners for the passenger seat backs and seat belts may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the seat backs and/or seat belts could move or detach in a crash. Safety Risk: A seat back and/or seat belt that moves or detaches could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Action: Prevost will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your bus to a Prevost service center to inspect and, if necessary, tighten the fasteners.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
