What the authority reported

Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program has determined that the recalled products contain methyl eugenol above the maximum concentration outlined in the Cosmetic Ingredient Hotlist (‘Hotlist'). Methyl eugenol is prohibited as a pure ingredient on the Hotlist due to its potential for carcinogenicity but is permitted as a naturally occurring component in botanical extracts with specific limits depending on the product type. As of February 10, 2026, the company has received no reports of incidents in Canada, and no reports of injuries.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
