What the authority reported
It was determined that these products contained prohibited ingredients as per Health Canada's Cosmetic Ingredient Hotlist (‘Hotlist'). Dioxane and Benzyl Cyanide are prohibited ingredients on the Hotlist. Dioxane is prohibited due to its possible carcinogenic effect. Benzyl cyanide is prohibited due to the potential release of cyanide. As of February 10, 2026, the company has received no reports of incidents in Canada, and no reports of injuries.
