What the authority reported

When force is applied to the window sash of some 100 Series casement windows with the window opening control device applied, the device may not perform as intended and can cause the window opening control device to stop functioning, allowing the window to open without control, posing a fall hazard to consumers. As of February 23, 2026, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 8 reports of the window opening control device being broken or missing screws, and no reports of injuries.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
