El inflador de cortina inflable de bolsa de aire lateral (SABIC) puede romperse. La ruptura de un inflador SABIC puede provocar que el gas comprimido se escape rápidamente del inflador y que el material sea potencialmente impulsado hacia el interior del vehículo. El material que se lanza al interior del vehículo puede causar lesiones a los ocupantes del vehículo.
