Al desplegarse la bolsa de aire frontal del lado del pasajero, una presión interna excesiva puede hacer que el inflador se rompa. En el caso de un choque que requiera el despliegue de la bolsa de aire frontal del pasajero, el inflador podría romperse con fragmentos de metal golpeando a los ocupantes del vehículo, lo que podría causar lesiones graves o la muerte.
