La pestaña limitadora del actuador del portón trasero puede fracturarse y hacer que el portón trasero se desenganche y se abra mientras conduce. La apertura inadvertida de la puerta trasera mientras conduce puede resultar en la pérdida descontrolada de carga desde la caja de carga de la camioneta. La pérdida de carga puede ser un peligro en la carretera para operadores y ocupantes de otros vehículos y puede causar que dichos vehículos choquen sin previo aviso.
