Se ha descubierto que el engranaje helicoidal de la caja de cambios de la dirección asistida eléctrica en estas unidades se instaló o fabricó incorrectamente. La grasa aplicada en el tornillo sin fin se agotó, lo que provocó un deslizamiento de la palanca que provocó un sonido inusual al girar el volante. La caja de la dirección defectuosa puede causar sonidos (ruidos) inusuales durante el funcionamiento.
