Existe la posibilidad de que el eje intermedio de columna de dirección se haya ensamblado incorrectamente y podría desconectarse de la articulación. El conductor puede notar un juego en la dirección y/o ruido al girar antes de que el eje intermedio se desconecte. Un eje intermedio desconectado puede provocar la pérdida del control de la dirección, lo que puede provocar un choque del vehículo sin previo aviso.
