Esta operación, de carácter preventivo, es imprescindible para garantizar la calidad y seguridad del vehículo y de sus ocupantes, a fin de evitar que un punto filoso del soporte de la manija de agarre de las plazas traseras en la parte superior, ambos lados del techo queden expuesto en caso de activación del airbag de cortina. Puede generarse eventuales daños corporales (heridas) a los ocupantes del vehículo en caso de contacto físico con esta zona.
