Se detectó la posibilidad de degradación del disparador del airbag debido a la posible exposición del vehículo a altas variaciones de temperatura y humedad absoluta durante largos periodos. En caso de colisión que provoque el despliegue del airbag, su gatillo puede romperse debido a una presión interna excesiva, provocando la dispersión de fragmentos metálicos con posibles daños físicos graves o incluso mortales a los ocupantes del vehículo.
