La cubierta roja del terminal de la batería puede dañarse si el asiento no está montado correctamente. Una cubierta del terminal de la batería dañada o mal colocada puede provocar que un borne positivo (+) de la batería quede expuesto. Si un borne expuesto entra en contacto con algo conductor, como la base del asiento, componentes metálicos del cinturón de seguridad o herramientas, puede producirse un cortocircuito eléctrico, lo que representa un riesgo de incendio y de lesiones graves.
