Debido a un error de programación en una unidad de mando, cada arranque del motor en los vehículos afectados tiene lugar en modo de arranque en caliente (sin precalentamiento del catalizador), independientemente de la temperatura real del motor/tiempo de estacionamiento del motor. Esto provoca un aumento de las emisiones durante la fase de calentamiento cuando el motor está frío
