What the authority reported
It has been discovered that the amount of the flame-retardant material DecaBDE used in the harness's padding, which is produced and supplied by a subcontractor of Thule, may exceed the EU's limit for some Thule RideAlong products. As a result, Thule has discontinued the use of these harness padding. ◇ The presence of an excessive amount of DecaBDE in Thule RideAlong products could pose a risk to children's health.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
