What the authority reported
3M has identified that X4 earmuffs manufactured between March 2020 through September 2022 may develop visible cracks on the exterior surface of the cups. Therefore, the products do not comply with Regulation (EU) 2016/425 on Personal Protective Equipment, nor with the Essential health and safety requirements (3.5 Protection against the harmful effects of noise).
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
