What the authority reported
The product presents a high risk of fire as it has no temperature controls to prevent it from overheating during normal use. If it is paired with a lithium battery item (for example a rechargeable mouse), the mouse pad could cause the battery-powered product to overheat and ignite, causing a fire. Improvements are also required to marking, labelling and documentation. The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
