What the authority reported

The ladders present a serious risk of injuries as the locking mechanism on the rungs can fail, potentially resulting in the user falling unexpectedly. When unlocking and sliding the ladder up, the ladder may also pose a risk of crushing the user’s hands as under the weight of the upper sections, the ladder falls in an uncontrolled manner. The markings and users’ instructions do not state the ladder’s class and some of the other required documentation was not present. The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
