What the authority reported
The adapter presents a risk of fire as it has been identified that some plugs have been incorrectly fitted with a 13-amp converter, instead of a 3-amp converter. Should a consumer use the adapter to connect a non-UK plug it may overheat, leading to a fire. The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005 or the Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
