What the authority reported
The product presents a serious risk of fire because it is possible for the insulation between the input and output circuits to fail during use. This could lead to the overheating of components, causing them to ignite and start a fire. Additionally, the plug pins were too close to the edge of the plug, exposing the user to the risk of electric shock. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
