What the authority reported
This product presents a serious risk as the box claims that the product is PPD free, however, this claim was considered to be misleading due to the presence of toluene-2,5-diamine. Toluene-2,5-diamine is a hair dye substance related to PPD and may produce an allergic reaction in users allergic to PPD. This product does not meet the requirements of Regulation (EC) 1223/2009 or the Cosmetic Products Enforcement Regulations 2013.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
