What the authority reported

The product presents a serious risk of fire because the cord has been anchored to the circuit board by cable ties. Over time, lack of sufficient anchorage will cause the supply cord to move, leading to strain on the conductors. This could cause the appliance to fail and possibly catch fire. Improvements are also required to marking, labelling and documentation. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
