What the authority reported

The product presents a serious risk of fire because the plug does not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363 and has an underweight fuse. A compliant, correctly rated fuse is required to ensure the safe operation of the product under fault conditions. Without this, the product may overheat during use and catch fire. Improvements are also required to product labelling and markings. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
