What the authority reported

The product presents a high risk of electric shock because the pins are too close to the periphery of the plug. The user may touch live pins when plugging in, or unplugging, the plug from the socket, and receive an electric shock. The transformer was also of a poor build quality as it did not meet the requirements of creepage and clearance. The product does not meet the requirements of the Plugs & Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994 or the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
