What the authority reported

The moving parts of the machine, namely the insertion beam and the guide beam, are not adequately guarded and no protective devices are provided to prevent a user reaching into the machine during operation, leading to a risk of injury from contact with the moving parts and/or entrapment between the moving parts and other fixed structures. In addition, as this is a CNC machine, there is the potential for the machine to start or move in an unintended or unexpected manner. The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.
