What the authority reported

The product presents a serious risk of fire as there is no evidence that it has sufficient battery protective systems in place, and the supplied plug does not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363. There is no evidence to demonstrate that it has been assessed using relevant UK conformity assessment procedures, as a valid Declaration of Conformity was not supplied. If the product is charged and left unattended overnight, a fault may occur potentially leading to the battery exploding and a fire starting. Improvements are also required for the product instructions. The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 and the Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
