What the authority reported
The product presents a serious risk of fire as there is no evidence that it has sufficient battery protective systems in place and there is exposed wiring on the supplied plug. If the product is charged and left unattended overnight, a fault may occur potentially leading to the battery exploding and/or setting on fire. There is also no evidence to demonstrate that the product has been assessed using relevant UK conformity assessment procedures, as a valid Declaration of Conformity was not supplied. Improvements are also required to the product instructions. The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 and the Plugs & Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
