What the authority reported
The product presents a high risk of electric shock as it failed electrical strength testing. This is due to the ionizer being in close proximity to the metal grill. If the product is plugged into the mains, it could short circuit and the user may receive an electric shock. Improvements are also required to product labelling and marking. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
