What the authority reported
The product presents a serious risk of fire as the plug is not fitted with a fuse link conforming to BS 1362 and is suspected to be counterfeit. If there is a failure within the electrical system whilst the product is in use, the fuse may fail to prevent fire and explosion. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
