What the authority reported
The product presents a serious risk of damage to hearing as the sound level emitted from the phone is too loud. If the product is given to a child over the age of 1 to play with, and they place the smartphone to their ear whilst pressing the buttons to generate the audible sound, over time, the excess noise may cause damage to hearing. The product does not meet the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
