What the authority reported
The affected batches present a risk of electric shock as it has been identified that the fuse has been wired to the neutral instead of the live input line. This could result in the treadmill remaining live even if the fuse blows. If the motor cover is removed for maintenance without turning off the treadmill at the mains, the user may receive an electric shock. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
