What the authority reported
The product presents a risk of entrapment as it was identified that a fixed guard could be easily by-passed and opened without the use of tools. It was possible to insert a finger into a slot in the guard and turn the securing latch from behind, allowing access to the moving belt, rollers and in-running nip, and presenting a risk of entanglement. The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
