What the authority reported
The product presents a high risk of fire. The plug is oversized, and over time inserting and removing the plug could damage the socket, or the user may insert the plug of a different appliance into the socket, which may not connect properly, causing the plug to overheat and ignite, causing a fire. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
