What the authority reported

The product presents a serious risk of fire and injuries as it has poor internal soldering with wires soldered directly to the control module and no reinforcement. There is also no thermal protection present on the motor or in the motor windings. If a wire loosens or detaches while the product is in use, it may overheat and/or explode. This could also lead to injuries to the user. Improvements are required to the product marking and labelling. This product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
