What the authority reported
The product presents a serious risk of fire as the wiring inside the cable has poor connections and the live input wire on the switch could easily be pulled from the product’s terminal. The wires could come loose, causing them to short circuit and the product to overheat and ignite. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
