What the authority reported

Some batches of model numbers 2021-MTK-012 and 2019-MTK-008 may pose a risk of asphyxiation due to an inconsistency in the size and shape of the teether. Some batches were found to have a larger overall shape as well as wider set feet, resulting in the feet of the teether protruding through the template. Affected large kangaroo teethers are of a certain shape/size that could press on the back of the throat of a small child who is too young to sit up unaided. This means that it could become impacted in their airway and potentially cause a blockage. The affected batches of the above models only do not comply with the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
