What the authority reported

The product presents a serious risk of injuries to the user as chainsaws are required to be fitted with at least two handles to provide safe control. There was no secondary handle fitted, with no obvious provision for one to be attached. The user may use their other free hand to stabilise what they are cutting, and should the chainsaw slip, they could cut or injure themselves. The product was missing markings, labelling and documentation. The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
