What the authority reported

The product presents a high risk of electric shock as there are inadequate internal connections within the adaptor, meaning that whilst in use, the vibration of the item can cause a wire to become loose. This could cause the wiring to short circuit, or accessible metal parts to become live. The consumer may then touch the item during use and receive an electric shock. The plug pins did also not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363, presenting a risk of electric shock to consumers. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994

What to do

Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
