What the authority reported
The product presents a high risk of electric shock as it has insufficient creepage and clearance distance between the primary and secondary circuits. Over time, the insulation can wear down and expose live wires, which may result in the user receiving an electric shock. Improvements are also required to product labelling, instructions and marking. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
