What the authority reported
The product presents a high risk of electric shock as the safety fusible resistor is fitted in the neutral conductor and not the live conductor. This means the product has inadequate overcurrent protection. In the event of excess current flow, the user could receive an electric shock. This product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
