What the authority reported
The product presents a high risk of electric shock as there is inadequate protection against accidental contact with live parts due to the basic insulation of wires being in contact with accessible metal parts. If the light was installed incorrectly due to the lack of adequate instructions, the product’s insulation could fail and give the user an electric shock. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
