What the authority reported
The product presents a high risk of fire as the internal componentry of the battery was poorly connected, with wires trapped and solder joints directly on wires with removed sheathing. Under fault conditions, this could cause the product to enter into thermal runaway, causing a fire. Improvements are also required to marking and labelling. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
What to do
Follow the instructions in the official notice — recall remedies (refund, repair, replacement, or disposal) are defined by the issuing authority and the responsible business, and they differ per recall. Do not rely on summaries, including this one.
